New car builds are pouring out of Wardington at the minute, just in time for the fine weather and some serious driving fun.
The latest Tuthill Porsche 911 hot rod build is this widebody Carrera in stunning Jaguar Green. Principally a cosmetic rejuvenation of a rust-free US import, the car looks amazing in peaty green-and-black tones with many new and refinished parts, and a very fresh interior.
One visual component fitted to many classic 911s is the iconic Carrera stripe. This graphic was designed for the 1973 RS, but has been used on other cars since, most notably the '74-'75 911 2.7 Carrera (same mechanically fuel-injected engine as the '73 RS) and the '76-'77 911 Carrera 3.0, with its bespoke motor built on that zingy 2.7 RS crankshaft.
Carrera stripes are a very popular aesthetic addition to stock 911s, such as SCs and 3.2 Carreras. We like to think our bespoke Porsche builds go a little bit further, and honour the original spirit of the legendary script.
The widebody 964 seen reflected here is another fascinating history project: stay tuned for more info!
